Under the authority of the Fabrication & Maintenance Supervisor, the Pattern Maker will be responsible for the following duties:
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all work performed complies with current manuals and specifications, Avianor directives, engineering drawings, and the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
Prepare and cut Velcro, various types of fabrics, and leather materials using patterns for assembly purposes.
Mark components and materials to be sewn.
Operate sewing department equipment and machinery.
Create patterns from existing samples or approved engineering data.
Assist Production with aircraft seat upholstery installation and covering.
Follow all company policies and processes related to assigned duties.
Perform self-inspections to maintain a high level of quality.
Complete all required work documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain work equipment in valuable operating condition and keep it clean.
Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
