Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery of food to guests, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and supporting the overall guest experience. Duties
Have a good knowledge of South Indian dishes, ingredients, accompaniments, and spice levels to confidently identify and serve orders.
Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guest tables promptly and accurately
Assist servers with food presentation and table setup as needed
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing empty plates and resetting tables
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or replenishing supplies when required
Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow




Assist with cleaning duties to uphold health and safety standards
Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order accuracy when necessary
Provide excellent guest services by being attentive, courteous, and skilled at all times

Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Robust communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Basic understanding of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and meal preparation is a plus
Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or cashiering is advantageous
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Prior experience in hotel or barista environments is beneficial but not mandatory
Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
