Overview

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier and Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for assisting customers in a rapid-paced environment. We are prioritizing Hindi or Gujarati speakers, but all are welcome to apply.

You must have strong mental math and quick thinking capabilities, and be able to stand for long periods of time. Retail Self Serve Certificate Required

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately
Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
Restocking store items before & after busy hours and during closing
Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Ensure adherence to store policies regarding cash handling and security protocols
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized checkout area and store workplace




Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Perform closing tasks such as sweeping, mopping and cleaning of meat slicer
Preform opening tasks such as baking, stocking of dairy and meat fridge and receiving orders from vendors

Experience
Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
Experience with product demos or technical sales adds value to the role
Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
Ability to perform basic math accurately
Proven ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer relationships

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
