With many construction projects across Western Canada, LMS Reinforcing Steel Group is actively looking for a Rebar/Shop Drawing Detailer to join our team in Calgary.
Job Duties:
Detailing rebar for fabrication and installation crews.
Interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, and other information as required to create detailed bar lists.
Document control – filing site instructions and other change documentation, updating drawing sets, etc.
Coordination with customers, management, field crews and contracts team
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience detailing reinforcing steel, producing detailed bar lists for field use.
Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
Firm understanding of construction sequencing/terminology or reinforcing steel background
Assets:
Computer proficient, Word, Excel, Outlook.
MicroStation experience
Understanding of rebar standards and practices.
Project coordination/project management experience.
Experience as a Rebar and/or Post Tensioning Cable installer.
aSa experience
CAD and/or Building information models (BIM) experience is an asset.
Wage will be periodically reviewed with potential for increases and/or bonuses based on job performance and length of service
