Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials promptly
Perform basic tasks such as digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving supplies to designated areas
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members
Operate basic construction equipment under supervision and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
Help with site cleanup at the end of each shift to ensure a tidy and hazard-free workspace
Contribute to quality control by inspecting work areas for compliance with project specifications
Experience
Prior experience in general construction or related manual labor roles is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
Basic understanding of construction tools and safety procedures is advantageous
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
Willingness to learn current skills and take direction from supervisors to support project goals
