Duties
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote early childhood learning and creativity
Support children’s social skills by encouraging positive interactions and conflict resolution
Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones and areas needing additional support
Foster a welcoming setting that respects diversity and promotes inclusion for all children
Collaborate with families to share insights on their child's development and address individual needs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment aligned with health and safety standards
Use computer skills to update records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with team members

Requirements




Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or childcare environments
Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education techniques, and special education needs
Bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly desirable to support diverse families
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is an asset
Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities, schedules, and documentation efficiently
Ability to operate computers and relevant software for record keeping and communication purposes
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to guide children confidently while fostering independence
Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education as required by local regulations

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
