Job Summary
We are a fast-food restaurant located on Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our energetic kitchen staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation and maintaining food safety standards. Duties
Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
Ensure all food handling and preparation meets established food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Support cooks and kitchen staff in daily operations, including cooking, plating, and serving dishes.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food service and kitchen operations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.





Qualifications
We are looking for a permanent, long-term team member. for part-time positions, we will only consider candidates who are commited to staying with us for at least 1 year.
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
Show up to all scheduled shifts and arrive 10 minutes early
Able to keep up in a quick-paced environment
Able to work well with others
Must give at least 2 weeks notice for any planned time off

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
