Overview
We are seeking a talented baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, commercial bakery experience, and a solid background in from scratch, retail bakery operations. Excellent customer service skills, and a friendly attitude are a must. This position involves a variety of tasks including assisting with baking, keeping an eye on inventory, and providing top notch service to our customers (both in person and over the phone).
Responsibilities
Help with daily bakery operations, including production, and inventory management
Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations in the bakery
Assist with new recipes and products to meet customer demands
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and inquiries promptly and courteously.
Skills
Friendly and approachable demeanour with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries effectively
Experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery, or restaurant setting
Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredients
Ability to handle cash transactions
Proficiency in kitchen operations and food handling practices
Part Time Position:
Hours - 16 to 25 hours per week
2pm to 6pm during the week, 1 pm to 5pm on Saturdays (closed Sundays and Mondays)
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
