The Role

Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their Finance team in Vancouver. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering a hybrid work model and a competitive compensation package.

This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of monthly client billing within a skilled services environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of billing processes, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities
Manage the full billing cycle, including reviewing work-in-progress (WIP), applying write-offs and write-downs, and finalizing invoices
Generate and process invoices, including electronic billing (e-billing)




Ensure invoices are delivered in accordance with client-specific requirements
Maintain a strong understanding of internal time entry and billing protocols
Identify and escalate potential billing discrepancies or issues proactively
Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal stakeholders and external clients
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives within the accounting team

Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years of billing experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Experience with billing and accounting software (experience with Acumin is an asset)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and provide solutions
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced workplace
