Nortech Advanced NDT Ltd. is seeking a CGSB certified MT/PT Technician to support the Greater Edmonton Area with occasional out of town work.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results Organize and report test results Perform specialized inspections May instruct and supervise others Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management Must be able to get driver abstract and have active licence to drive company trucks EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



High School Diploma or equivalent NDT Level II Certification in MT with PT as an asset Technical background in NDT methods and procedures Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections Knowledge of NDT equipment and inspection techniques. including Hardness, Ferrite, PMI etc. OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Possess team leadership, management and business administration capabilities and with very positive negotiation and communication skills.

The employee will also run, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment. COMPENSATION: Compensation is dependent on skillsets and certifications held.
