Overview

We are seeking a friendly and effective Cashier/Kitchen Helper to join our vibrant food service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant workplace, providing excellent customer service while supporting kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, solid multitasking skills, and a positive attitude. Prior food industry or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Duties
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
Handle cash and perform basic math calculations for change and totals
Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties, including basic cooking, plating, and sanitation tasks
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both the dining area and kitchen
Serve customers with friendly and professional service, upselling menu items when appropriate
Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation
Manage time effectively to handle busy periods while maintaining quality service




Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized work workplace
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Skills
Experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments preferred
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced setting
Positive time management skills to balance cashier duties with kitchen support tasks
Food preparation skills and kitchen experience are advantageous
Ability to upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and sales performance
