Part-Time Maintenance Technician – HVAC & Restaurant Equipment

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair needs of our four Tim Hortons restaurants located in Nanaimo and Duncan. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC systems and commercial restaurant equipment and be able to respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
Perform maintenance and repairs on restaurant kitchen equipment, including:
Coffee and beverage equipment
Refrigeration and freezer units
Ovens and toasters
Ice machines
Iced Capp and frozen beverage equipment
Small kitchen appliances
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns as required.
Coordinate with external service providers when specialized repairs are needed.




Maintain maintenance records and repair logs.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce repair costs.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications
Experience working with commercial HVAC systems.
Experience repairing and maintaining restaurant or commercial kitchen equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems is considered an asset.
Ability to lift and move equipment when required.
