Role Responsibilities Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, the Executive Advisor provides strategic advice, issues management and operational support to advance the mandate of the First Nations, Mtis and Inuit Education Division.
This role supports senior decision-making, manages key projects and emerging issues, coordinates briefings and stakeholder responses, represents the division on Ministry and cross-ministry initiatives, and leads staff within the Assistant Deputy Ministers Office to ensure integrated financial, operational and administrative services.
Identify, analyze and manage strategic issues affecting the First Nations, Mtis and Inuit Education Division.
Develop and implement plans, strategies and processes to support timely issue resolution and decision-making.
Brief the Assistant Deputy Minister on emerging issues, proposed solutions, risks, mitigating strategies and required actions.
Coordinate urgent requests and responses for the offices of the Deputy Minister, Minister and senior government officials.
Lead the preparation and review of briefings, action requests, correspondence and decision-making materials.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with key clients, stakeholders, partners and Ministry business areas.
Manage communication and information flow within the division, the ADMs Office and across relevant Ministry partners.
Support division planning and operations to ensure alignment with Ministry and government priorities.
Lead and manage special projects and initiatives that support division outcomes and cross-ministry priorities.
Represent the division or the ADM on Ministry and cross-ministry committees, project teams and task forces.
Lead and supervise qualified and administrative staff within the Assistant Deputy Ministers Office, including workload management, coaching, mentoring and operational support.
