What you will be doing: Lead the development and documentation of detailed business and functional requirements.
Analyze current-state processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
Create data dictionaries, document system interfaces, and map data flows between legacy and new systems.
Facilitate business process redesign and provide trade-off analysis for solution options.
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to build reusable, enterprise-wide requirements.
Translate complex business needs into explicit technical specifications for development teams.
Support options analysis for large-scale technology investments.
Contribute to requirements for business intelligence, reporting, and dashboards.
Work with the project team to define acceptance criteria and ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
What you must have: 7+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst on complex projects. 5+ years of experience in an IT or software development environment.
Nice to have:
Background in legal or regulatory registry systems (corporate, land titles, or similar).
Experience with cloud/SaaS solution selection and implementation.
Robust knowledge of financial workflows, accounting systems, ERP integrations, or grants/loans management.
Experience managing large, detailed requirement backlogs for enterprise solutions.
Business process improvement and modeling expertise.
Requirements gathering for Business Intelligence or dashboard solutions.
Exposure to identity management, privacy, authentication, or security-related projects.
Public sector or highly regulated industry experience. BABOK or similar Business Analysis certification is an asset.
