In this part time position at Monarch House, you will implement intervention plans under the guidance of a Registered Occupational Therapist. Your primary focus will be on working with children and youth who have autism spectrum disorder or motor delays.
You'll also be responsible for fostering an engaging environment and assisting clients in personal care tasks. Collaborate with a dedicated team to track and manage client progress throughout their therapy journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement intervention strategies and therapy plans
Maintain an engaging setting for clients
Prepare teaching materials and resources
Document client progress through data collection
Assist clients with daily personal care activities
Requirements:
Relevant post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
At least 1 year of experience as an OTA preferred
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
Robust communication skills for client interaction
Ability to thrive in a dynamic workplace
Contribute significantly to children's growth and development at Monarch House through your OTA expertise.
