List of Requirements

- Current full registration as a Dietitian with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
- Graduate of a Dietitians of Canada accredited Dietetic Internship Program.
- Two (2) years recent related clinical experience in community nutrition, primary care, public health, mental health and substance use, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for local area travel.

List of Duties

- Comprehensive nutrition assessment and care planning
- Evidence-based nutrition intervention and chronic disease management
- Individual and group nutrition education and counselling
- Client engagement using trauma-informed, culturally safe, and person-centred approaches
- Food security promotion and community resource navigation
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical consultation
- Community outreach and health promotion




- Solid clinical documentation and health record management
- Program evaluation and quality improvement
- Professional communication and relationship building
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-informed practice
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, and ethical practice
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, infection prevention, and risk management
- Works with individuals who may be experiencing complex trauma, mental health concerns, substance use, behavioural challenges, and housing instability, requiring calm, compassionate, and professional responses.
- Performs duties requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, computer use, and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment up to 20 lbs.
- Requires flexibility to attend community meetings, outreach activities, or client appointments outside standard office hours as operationally required.
