Join the Mississauga Board of Trade as Vice President of Government & Stakeholder Relations. Shape policies and enhance government relations for the business community in Mississauga.
This full-time role reports to the President & CEO and emphasizes impartial advocacy and stakeholder engagement. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring local government activities, preparing policy positions, and organizing events with government leaders, ensuring effective communication across channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recommend policy positions to MBOT Committees
• Interact with senior bureaucracy in Mississauga
• Help facilitate partnerships with business organizations
• Attend meetings with political leaders
• Develop advocacy materials for communication
Requirements:
• 3-5 years in related government relations roles
• Expertise in business association advocacy
• Established relationships at all government levels
• Proficient in crafting communications
• Solid understanding of Mississauga governance
Drive impactful advocacy and support for MBOT's mission through your knowledge and skills.
