QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Graduation from a recognized nursing program including community health nursing.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or a practicing RPN registrant.
Licensed to practice nursing in British Columbia under the Health Professionals Act.
Three to 5 years work experience in a TB Control program or equivalent, and previous experience working with vulnerable populations.
Current CPR level BLS-C (Basic 1) certificate.
Valid BC driver''s license (incumbents may be required to use their own vehicle on a compensation for mileage basis) Skills And Abilities Proficiency in use of the TB module of iPHIS (Public Health Information System)
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with skilled staff, children, youth and families, and public.
Ability to organize and coordinate own work schedule and to follow relevant law, regulations and agency policies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential to this role.
Ability to deliver empathetic/non-judgmental care and to relate well with people from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural settings.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the job.
