Enhance community mental health with a part time Clinical Counsellor position in the Community Action Initiative. Provide vital support through assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse client needs.
This regular part-time role focuses on delivering skilled client care, addressing complex issues like substance abuse, family conflict, and cultural challenges. The Counsellor engages collaboratively with health care teams, including the Fraser Health Authority and child mental health specialists to ensure comprehensive support for clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive client assessments and therapeutic interventions
Respond to critical incidents with safety planning and crisis intervention
Customize support strategies based on client strengths and needs
Facilitate individual, family, and group psycho-educational sessions
Enhance stronger relational supports within the community
Requirements:
Proficiency in Dari or Farsi languages
Experience in providing therapeutic services in community settings
Solid collaborative skills with interdisciplinary teams
Familiarity with mental health issues among immigrant populations
Commitment to ongoing professional development
