About the Role
The Company is a agile private post-secondary institution that is dedicated to providing accessible, industry-relevant education. The institution is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in its growth and development.
The COO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for strategic and operational leadership across a wide range of institutional operations, including regulatory compliance, quality assurance, student services, admissions, facilities, technology, and administrative functions.
The successful candidate will be tasked with building and strengthening the necessary systems, governance frameworks, policies, and performance measures to support sustainable growth while upholding the highest standards of regulatory integrity, educational quality, operational effectiveness,
and student-centered service.
The ideal COO for the company will have a background in senior leadership within private post-secondary education, training institutions, or similarly regulated environments. Expertise in compliance, quality assurance, governance, and operational leadership is essential, as is a solid understanding of educational quality standards and regulatory frameworks.
The role requires a candidate with the credibility and judgment to engage effectively with regulators, government agencies, and external stakeholders. Experience with PTIRU, EQA, Student Aid BC, and IRCC is considered a strong asset.
