Position Overview Under the direction of the Facility Support Services Lead or designate or assigned Tradesperson, the Utility Person performs and/or assists with preventative maintenance installation and repair of furnishings and other equipment and building systems.
Experience Recent minimum of 1 year work experience with demonstrated ability to perform mechanical tasks and basic repairs in building or equipment maintenance.
System Maintenance Technician certificate or Building Operator certificate or Powering Engineering - 5th Class certification preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Demonstrates a working knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and adheres to procedures for handling and storing controlled substances as described in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Demonstrates a basic working knowledge of computers.
