Summary The Skilled Material Handler is responsible for safely loading, unloading, moving, staging, and preparing steel materials within the shop and yard.

This role requires prior experience handling steel in an industrial or manufacturing environment and the ability to operate material-handling equipment.

The Skilled Material Handler is expected to follow all safety procedures, use proper lifting techniques, and support efficient shop operations.

Core Competencies Safety Awareness and Accountability Communication Teamwork Planning and Organizing Problem Solving Results Oriented Dependability Job Duties Load, unload, move, and stage steel materials in the shop and yard Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment Handle steel products of varying sizes and weights using safe lifting and rigging practices Prepare materials for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, and securing loads Assist with inventory activities such as counting, weighing, and identifying materials Maintain a clean, organized,
