Purpose: The Academic Peer Support Assistant is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of peer development programs designed to support academic performance and student engagement.
Education: Must be enrolled as a York student Experience: Previous work experience may be considered Skills: Ability to provide insight and suggestions to support individuals in making informed decisions.
Ability to collaborate and work with others to complete a shared goal.
Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills.
Ability to lead and motivate others towards learning current knowledge.
Ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
Ability to understand and relate to others.
Participation in Work/Study positions is restricted to undergraduate students at York University who meet the program''s eligibility requirements.
