Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior IT Security Vulnerability Analysis Specialist to support the maturation of enterprise vulnerability management and security risk mitigation services within a cloud-enabled setting .

Background: The organization operates a well-established Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and is advancing its security posture to better address enterprise and cloud-based risks.

As part of this effort, there is a need to strengthen vulnerability assessment, security risk analysis, and Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A;) capabilities.

This role will support the Security Operations Group by providing senior-level security expertise to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical vulnerabilities across architectures, applications, and infrastructure.

Tasks: Perform security risk assessments using industry-standard methodologies to evaluate proposed and existing architectures.

Identify architectural, application, network,



and system vulnerabilities that could be exploited by threat actors.

Conduct vulnerability assessments across cloud-based networks, applications, databases, and operating systems.

Collaborate with architects, developers, and technical teams to design, test, and deploy secure cloud solutions.

Support SA&A; activities by documenting security findings and providing risk-based remediation guidance.

Evaluate and contribute to the selection and use of security assessment tools and vulnerability management practices.

Analyze threats and technical weaknesses impacting enterprise and cloud settings.

Document assessment results and provide actionable recommendations to improve system security and integrity.

Support and advise the FTE security lead in strengthening vulnerability and risk mitigation services.
