- Salary: Payband G: $34.60 – $39.93 per hour
- Starting Salary: $34.60 per hour; progression per payband increments based on actual service

About the Position

The Systems Project Specialist coordinates software support, maintenance, and access to technology systems within Student Success and Engagement (SSE). Responsibilities include overseeing client systems such as Clockwork, PS Suites, RegisterBlast, and Advocate, leading upgrades, releases, and module expansions, as well as collaborating with system administrators to ensure optimal performance and a quality user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technology System Administration, Training, and Security

- Oversee ongoing administration, upgrades, and support for departmental employees.
- Provide expert-level functional system support for Student Wellness and Equitable Learning staff.
- Administer, secure, and support various systems.
- Coordinate first-tier technical support for computer-related issues.
- Manage user experience, sustain stakeholder relationships, and lead systems reporting.
- Administer technology systems such as Outlook, Banner, Teams, PS Suites, RegisterBlast, Clockworks, and emerging databases.

Project Management and Implementation

- Manage implementation and installation of version upgrades, new systems, or cloud software.
- Plan, test, and execute software upgrades with minimal user impact.
- Modify systems based on user feedback, customize software,



and ensure confidentiality and data security.

Maintenance

- Maintain test environments or cases for new versions and gather feedback.
- Handle staff laptop setup, troubleshooting, and other assigned duties.
- Proactively address connectivity issues and notify management of potential breaches.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Training and Documentation

- Develop and maintain training materials for departmental systems.
- Collaborate with system users to create training documents around best practices.
- Recommend technical process improvements for efficiency, user experience, and data security.
- Produce continuous training and documentation for all Student Wellness and Equitable Learning systems.

Education

- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
- Project Management Certification preferred.

Skills

- 3–5 years of experience in database systems and analysis with responsibility for support, maintenance, and configuration.
- High computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Windows and related software.
- Ability to participate in multi-layered project planning and implementation.
- Demonstrated attention to technical detail.
- Strong technical environment knowledge (desktop, MS Windows, virtual meeting software, remote access tools).



Experience with online/virtual/remote access and problem‑solving tools.
- Experience with Banner, Clockwork, RegisterBlast, and higher education environments preferred.
- Database development, MS‑SQL reporting, form design, report development, or similar skills are beneficial.
