Key Activities Reporting to the Producer of Popular Music and Variety, the Show Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting live performances for the Popular Music and Variety Department, by serving as the primary in-person liaison for artists and ensuring smooth onsite logistics.
This part time role requires a versatile schedule, including evenings and weekends, and involves coordination with artists, producers, technical teams, and venue staff to deliver a seamless experience.
Some tasks include but are not limited to: Setting up dressing rooms with hospitality items; Providing artist with payment and meals (green room or pick-up, or delivery); Collecting guestlist names from artists; Ensure timely start and end of performances; Work together with the onsite technical team, ushers, and bar staff to ensure everyone is ready for the performance; Re-organize the dressing room(s)
post-performance; Coordinate with the Producer of each show to ensure all the show advance information is finalized; Supervise the onsite merchandise seller (when applicable) - coordinate with the artists and NAC seller; Occasionally pick-up and drop off artists (airport, hotels, etc.); Conduct weekly hospitality shopping bases on producer-provided lists; Skill Requirements Pertinent work experience in project coordination; Valid drivers license is required; Experience in event coordination or artist relations preferred; Robust organizational and communication skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure; Able and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends Smart Serve Ontario certificate is an asset; Bilingualism in both official languages is required.
