The Role Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer Co-op to join our Research and Development International team as a co-op for 8 months starting in September 2026.
The team iscomprisedof manyhighly talentedenthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Software Engineer Co-op will work with the Research and Development International team made up of developers and testers and take an active part in deliveringhigh qualitysoftware to Rakuten Kobos users.

Somepreviousexperience in and Object-Oriented Software Language such as C# or Java An understanding of T-SQL Databases Experience with web technologies (HTML, Java
Script, CSS) Some knowledge/experience with contemporary UI frameworks e.g.
Angular, React,NextJS Knowledge ofSDLC Writing and Maintaining
Brains Rider) Nice to haves: An understanding of server-side web technologies such as Web API and MVC Knowledge of usingversioncontrol systems such as Git.
