At Qualus, you will be the Automation Protection & Control Subject Matter Expert, leading major projects ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV. This role involves technical ownership and mentorship, guiding both senior and junior engineers while addressing complex challenges.

You will interact with utility and renewable energy clients, applying creative solutions tailored to diverse project needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical governance across multiple projects and programs
Set standards for high-voltage substation automation




Finalize technical approvals for high-risk projects
Review protection plans, schematics, and logic diagrams
Participate in design reviews and risk assessments

Requirements:
20+ years in protection, control, and metering engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Qualified Engineer (P. Eng.) registration in Canada
Expertise in substation protection philosophy
Excellent communication and mentoring skills
