BMO is currently sourcing for an IT Project Manager to support Finance Technology initiatives.

This is a hybrid contract role in Toronto (3 days in office per week).

Role Overview: The IT Project Manager will lead project teams in delivering IT solutions within the Finance sector, focusing on software development and cloud projects.

The role will require managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project outcomes aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities: - Manage project planning, execution, and delivery of IT solutions in the Finance domain. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. - Develop comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. - Oversee project risk management to mitigate issues and ensure project success. - Facilitate cross-functional meetings and maintain communication to keep stakeholders informed. - Act as both a traditional project manager and scrum master as needed for agile projects.



- Ensure adherence to project methodologies and best practices within the organization.

Must-Have Skills: - Proven experience in project management within the banking sector, preferably at BMO. - Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud project management. - Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) and agile methodologies (CSM). - Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. - Familiarity with finance-related IT solutions and project governance processes.

Ideal Candidate: - Demonstrated success in leading complex IT projects in the finance sector. - Experience interacting with business units to drive project alignment and support. - Capability to work independently with minimal guidance and take initiative. - Versatile in adapting project management styles to meet the needs of various projects.
