We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining CI Financial’s historical books, preparing global consolidations, and reconciling IFRS accounting bases. The role will also provide support in financial statement preparation, draft technical accounting memos, and assist with post‑close M&A; activities, including valuations and acquisition accounting.
What You Will Do
Maintain balances as it relates to CI Financial’s historical books, including intangibles, equity‑accounted investments, equity, leases, and debt
Prepare CI Financial’s global consolidation on a historical basis
Develop and maintain reconciliation between different bases of IFRS accounting (Mubadala vs. Historical)
Support financial statement preparation, including preparing certain note disclosures
Prepare technical accounting memos as issues arise
Provide post‑close accounting support on M&A; activities, including valuations and acquisition accounting memos
What You Will Bring
CPA designated, or will be imminently designated.
2 to 4 years of work experience in a corporate accounting or auditing workplace.
Solid understanding of IFRS fundamentals, especially consolidation, business combinations,
and leases.
Detail‑oriented.
Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
Desire for continuous improvements.
Industry experience in the asset management or wealth management sector preferred.
Experience working with large ERP systems preferred, especially with Workday.
