Fabric Engineer

We are seeking a Fabric Engineer to support a Microsoft Fabric proof of concept initiative focused on designing and evaluating data ingestion, transformation, and consumption patterns. In this role, you will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to build and test scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services. The position plays a key role in shaping architectural approaches, validating performance, and providing recommendations that support efficient and up-to-date data platform design.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain notebooks within Microsoft Fabric and Azure environments
Design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines
Load, query, and validate data using Fabric notebooks and related services
Evaluate and compare different data ingestion, integration, and consumption patterns
Support proof of concept activities including prototyping, testing, and performance validation
Collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions




Document technical findings, recommendations, and best practices for Fabric implementation
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration, performance, and scalability issues

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
Experience working with notebooks for data engineering or analytics workloads
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services and cloud-based platforms
Proficiency in data ingestion, transformation, and querying techniques
Experience evaluating and implementing data integration and consumption patterns
Robust SQL skills and data engineering fundamentals
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced proof of concept setting

Nice to Have
Experience with Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, or Real-Time Analytics
Knowledge of modern data architecture and analytics platforms
Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud data initiatives
Strong communication and technical documentation skills
