Drive advocacy and policy development as a Government Relations Advisor for The Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB). This hybrid role emphasizes research, stakeholder engagement, and communications to advance REALTORS®' interests.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications and Member Engagement, you will support OREB's advocacy efforts through research, analysis, and strategic relationship-building. Collaborating with the Leadership Team and external partners, your goal is to monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the real estate sector, driving impactful governmental relations initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide research and analysis to guide organizational strategy
• Develop and implement advocacy initiatives and communications




• Monitor political changes affecting REALTORS® and homebuyers
• Prepare briefing materials and presentations for leadership
• Support grant and externally funded initiatives with oversight
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of government relations experience
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with legislative processes at all government levels
• Understanding of real estate industry regulations is an asset
