As part of Vancouver Coastal Health, you will operate within a client and family-centered care model, making an impact on individuals with severe mental illness and concurrent disorders. Your role as either a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse involves performing assessments, implementing strength-based treatment plans, and coordinating care in collaboration with other health specialists. You'll enhance clients' quality of life and help them navigate challenges associated with their mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized nursing care and case coordination • Perform psychosocial rehabilitation assessments and interventions • Develop and modify treatment plans with families and healthcare teams • Administer medications and monitor client responses • Maintain accurate client records and participate in quality improvement
Requirements: • Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in BC • 240 hours of clinical practicum in mental health • Knowledge of harm reduction strategies • Ability to conduct group counselling and crisis interventions • Experience planning care for designated client groups
