The Village of Erin Meadows has an exciting opportunity for a FOOD SERVICE AIDE to join their team.

The hiring rate for this role is $22.78 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

Responsibilities

- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
- Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs (5–20 lb usual),



and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs (20–50 lb usual).
- Possess exceptional time‑management skills and the ability to work in collaboration with a team.
- Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents, ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food‑handling techniques.
- Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
- Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8‑hours maximum).
- Support and embrace our resident‑centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents.
- Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
- Hold a valid Food Handlers Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

- Completed, enrolled in, or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program.
- Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
