We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support our orthopaedic team at the University of Alberta Hospital. This part time role allows you to engage with advanced patient care technologies and build your skills while serving diverse patient needs. You will be responsible for a range of tasks crucial for effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide insightful assessments of orthopaedic patients
• Administer and manage casts and traction equipment
• Document patient care and changes proficiently
• Collaborate with healthcare teams effectively
• Ensure the delivery of protected, high-quality care
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited LPN education program
• Active registration or eligibility with CLPNA
• Orthopaedic Technician program completion
• Current BCLS-HCP certification
• Prior experience in a tertiary care or Emergency setting preferred
