This key position reports to the Director and Associate Director of Negotiations within BCGEU. As a Staff Representative, you will be instrumental in creating and implementing collective agreements, negotiating contracts, and addressing contract administration issues. With a solid focus on leadership in negotiations and activism, your success will rely on your interpersonal skills and experience in collective bargaining.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for collective agreements with bargaining units
• Negotiate contracts across multiple units and associations




• Lead ratification efforts and participate in dispute mediations
• Manage contract administration and address related issues
• Support strike activities and coordination efforts
Requirements:
• Proven experience in collective bargaining and negotiations
• Solid knowledge of contract language and administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Valid B.C. Drivers Licence for travel
