Role Description
This is a full-time, in office Plumber role based in Winnipeg, MB. The Plumber will install, service, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and related equipment for heating, cooling, and drainage. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, completing work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. The role involves responding to urgent service calls, collaborating with HVAC and mechanical technicians, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
The Plumber will interact directly with customers on-site, providing explicit explanations of work, recommended solutions, and maintenance best practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess robust plumbing skills, including installation, troubleshooting, and system repair. Candidates should possess experience working with pipe systems, fittings, and related mechanical components. Candidates should possess maintenance and repair skills, with the ability to perform routine and preventative maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally on-site. Relevant trade certification or journeyperson status in plumbing, and eligibility to work in Manitoba. Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in commercial mechanical environments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders, and to use standard plumbing tools and equipment safely. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to customer sites within Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
