As a Resource Manager, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for a diverse natural resource portfolio within the Ministry of Forests. This respected leadership position involves working collaboratively with Indigenous Nations and various stakeholders to advance district-wide initiatives. You'll be pivotal in ensuring environmental stewardship and economic sustainability across the region's coastal landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive operational leadership across a natural resource portfolio
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and Indigenous Nations
• Shape forest management policies and practices
• Oversee multidisciplinary team operations and programs
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations
Requirements:
• University degree in Natural Resource Management or equivalent
• Five years of related experience in resource management
• Proven problem-solving skills with stakeholders
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Experience in forest and land resource management preferred
