Elevate Toronto Pearson's operations as a Surface Maintenance Specialist with GTAA. This full time, in office role focuses on maintaining airport surfaces, supporting essential safety measures, and enhancing traveler experiences.
In this seasonal position, reporting to the Manager of Airfield Maintenance, you will maintain surfaces, roads, and other ground-related areas at Toronto Pearson. Your key skills in heavy equipment operation and snow removal will be crucial for effective airport operations. Emphasizing safety and cleanliness, you’ll be integral to ensuring quality standards and effective service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair airside and groundside surfaces
• Conduct inspections for FOD and litter collection




• Repair fences and non-illuminated signage
• Act as first responder to spills and debris clean-ups
• Operate various airport equipment for snow and ice control
Requirements:
• Ability to obtain a “D” class AVOP
• Experience in snow removal and heavy equipment
• Secondary School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to secure a Transportation Security Clearance
• Knowledge of spills containment and airfield layouts
