In this permanent part-time role, you’ll practice under UHN's Professional Practice Model, ensuring safety and comfort for approximately 7,500 postoperative patients annually. The PACU offers advanced monitoring capabilities, requiring skilled care and collaboration with a dedicated team in a quick-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor patients’ vital signs post-surgery
• Provide direct, compassionate care in the PACU
• Facilitate secure patient transitions from anesthesia
• Collaborate to optimize the recovery process
• Uphold UHN's mission and nursing standards
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Two years of relevant Medical/Surgical experience
• Completion of a recognized Critical Care program
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• BScN and ACLS certifications preferred
