Manager: Animal Care is a full-time, 18-month contract on-site leadership role overseeing the Ottawa Humane Society's shelter operations. This fast-paced position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity. The Manager ensures compliance with SOPs and policies, makes animal care and welfare decisions, and leads a large team of animal care staff.

$77,788 to $87,602 annually

Monday - Friday 75 hours bi-weekly.



May be required to work evening, holiday and weekend shifts.
Post-secondary school degree or diploma in a related field
Registered Veterinary Technician designation preferred
A minimum of 3 years’ animal care management experience
A minimum of 3 years’ staff management experience
Significant knowledge and experience with animal health and welfare
Qualified working proficiency in spoken and written English
