About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief and Medical Director for Surgery to provide comprehensive clinical, professional, operational, and strategic leadership. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with both clinical and administrative leaders to uphold high standards of quality, patient safety, and medical staff oversight. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the growth and transformation of the surgical program, with a focus on strengthening departmental culture, enhancing physician engagement, and advancing a cohesive vision for the future of surgical services. Key responsibilities include supporting program expansion, increasing surgical volumes and complexity,



and fostering collaboration across perioperative services to ensure coordinated, high-performing care delivery.

Candidates for this role must be experienced, inclusive, and visionary leaders with a background in medical leadership, clinical practice, strategy, and operations. The ideal candidate will be a physician licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario or eligible for licensure, with certification in a surgical specialty recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent certification. The role requires a proven track record as an effective change leader, with the ability to engage teams, navigate complexity, and lead change within a energetic healthcare environment.
