Kepler Academy is looking for an Assistant Director at our Westlink location.

What do we need from you?

Assistant Directors will promote excellence inthe delivery of Kepler Academy’s core foundation.



You will promote and providea positive work environment, relevant feedback, communication to employees andfamilies, proper nutrition, and plan daily activities.

Working with the Centre Director, you willoverall be accountable for the management of daily operations, overseeing andleading the work of all staff at the childcare center and business results forthe centre and operate in a professional manner and ensure quality standardsare being met.

What will you do?

- Managethe overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities andactivities of the centre such as marketing and people management
- Operatein a skilled manner and ensure Kepler standards are being met andcompliance is always maintained
- Provideoversight and direction to the employees in the centre
- Coach,mentor, and develop staff, including new employee onboarding and providingcareer development planning and opportunities
- Consciouslycreate a workplace culture that is consistent with the overallorganization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guidingprinciples, and values of the organization
- Provideeffective performance feedback
- Maintainemployee work schedules
- Ensurestrong relationships developed with families with regular ongoingcommunication
- Bepart of the community to build strong partnerships
- Maintaintransparent communication

You will possess the following:





- Demonstratedability to lead, coach and develop a department and department staff members
- Provenleadership in promoting a positive workforce environment
- Strongwork ethic
- Excellentorganization and time management skills
- Excellentwritten and spoken communication skills
- Computerliteracy: strong skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn othersystems
- Solidknowledge & understanding of the Provincial Child Care Regulations
- Businessknowledge of basic economics, budgeting, accounting principles andpractices is necessary

Required qualifications to work at KeplerAcademy:

- Aminimum of 3 years Early Childhood experience in the Childcare industry
- Aminimum of one (1) year in a management role is an asset but not required
- Postsecondary education in a business-related field, or experience withfinances and budgeting would be an asset
- ChildDevelopment Supervisor Certificate (two-year Diploma in Early ChildhoodDevelopment or equivalent education from a college approved in line withChild Care Regulations)
- StandardFirst Aid certificate
- Currentcriminal record check, including vulnerable sector search
