Provide vital maintenance support as a Recreation Facility Maintenance Worker I with the City of Powell River. Help maintain clean and functional recreation spaces for community activities.
In this part time role, you will assist with custodial and operational tasks that keep facilities safe and well-maintained. Reporting to the Recreation Maintenance Supervisor, your job involves performing repairs, managing equipment, and supervising public activities in accordance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in facility maintenance and thrive in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage custodial duties to uphold facility standards
• Execute basic repairs and maintenance tasks




• Prepare facilities for public programs and user activities
• Oversee public use, ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Maintain records and documentation efficiently
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Minimum one year of relevant maintenance experience
• Knowledge of building maintenance and custodial practices
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• Must be ready to undertake necessary training promptly
Optimize facility conditions while promoting recreational activities in Powell River.
