List of Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
- Minimum three (3) years of recent related experience working with individuals experiencing complex mental health, substance use, and social challenges, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally safe care.
- Strong interpersonal, counselling, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic records.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance.

List of Duties

- Comprehensive psychosocial assessment and care planning
- Individual, family, and group counselling




- Crisis intervention and recovery-oriented practice
- Case management and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Community resource navigation and advocacy
- Knowledge of housing, financial, legal, and social support systems
- Trauma-informed, culturally safe, and person-centred practice
- Solid clinical documentation and case record management
- Quality improvement and program evaluation
- Professional consultation, communication, and relationship building
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, and ethical practice
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, infection prevention, and violence prevention
- Based within housing and community health settings, including in-office and outreach environments.
- May work with individuals experiencing complex trauma, substance use, or behavioural challenges; requires calm and compassionate responses.
- Involves moderate physical activity including walking, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
