The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary part‑time (approx. 0.82 FTE) Elementary Music teaching position starting October 19, 2026 to June 29, 2027 at Ecole Edwards Elementary School.





This position involves teaching music to students in grades K‑6 and is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Ecole Edwards Elementary School, located in the City of Airdrie, serves English and French students from grades K‑6.

Pre‑employment Requirements
Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education.
New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
External applicants must provide a qualified letter of reference from their most recent supervisor, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months.
The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of employment.
