Accounts Receivable Deduction Specialist

Location: North York, ON (In Person)

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year (based on experience)

Molisana Imports is a leading importer and distributor of premium international food brands. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Deduction Specialist to join our Accounting team.

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve customer deductions, chargebacks, short payments, and disputes.

Manage deduction claims and recover outstanding amounts.

Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate records.

Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance to resolve deduction issues.

Monitor outstanding deductions and prepare related reports.

Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Accounts Receivable Deduction experience in the CPG or food distribution industry.

Direct experience managing deductions for major supermarket chains, mass retailers,



and e-commerce customer accounts.

Solid knowledge of retailer deductions, including chargebacks, promotional claims, pricing discrepancies, freight claims, compliance fines, shortages, and payment disputes.

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP/accounting system is preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Solid analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Due to the specialized nature of this role, preference will be given to candidates with direct Accounts Receivable deduction experience within the CPG or food distribution industry, including experience managing deductions for major supermarket chains, mass retailers, and e-commerce customer accounts.
