As the Chief Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Chief Engineer. Responsibilities include managing the ship’s mechanical and electrical systems, supervising engine room staff, and ensuring emergency preparedness. Key Responsibilities:
• Stand engineer room watch and monitor logs
• Supervise and train engine room crew effectively
• Plan and conduct systems maintenance and emergency repairs




• Liaise with departments and external contractors for repairs
• Complete detailed reports on machinery conditions
Requirements:
• 3rd Class Motor Certificate or higher
• Valid Seafarers Medical required
• Minimum 2 years as Chief Engineer or Senior Watchkeeper
• Robust communication and supervisory skills
• Knowledge of shipyard and dry-dock procedures
