Contract: 3‑month fixed‑term, 7 days on / 7 days off, 12‑hour daily schedule, camp accommodations provided.
Responsibilities
Operate an Articulated Rock Truck or Packer safely and responsibly.
Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports.
Maintain equipment cleanliness, secure all equipment as per policies, and ensure good housekeeping.
Assist with the operational integrity of the Mining department to achieve safety, environmental, quality, cost, production and continuous improvement targets.
Report unsafe mechanical conditions to a supervisor.
Follow established traffic patterns and avoid hazards.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment or a haul truck (preferred).
Attention to safety rules and guidelines.
Ability to stay alert and pay attention to detail during all hours and weather conditions.
Ability to safely climb, access equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Robust leadership/team skills and ability to work independently.
Experience in an open‑pit mining workplace is an asset.
Valid BC Driver's License required.
Working Conditions
Camp‑based role at Mount Milligan Mine site with a 7x7 schedule, 12 hours per day.
Ability to maintain high performance for extended shifts up to 12 hours.
Occasional exposure to hazardous environments; PPE required.
Safety‑sensitive setting with drug & alcohol‑free policy.
Bus transportation to and from site provided from Prince George, Fort St. James, and Mackenzie.
