This role as a Marine Systems Mechanical Technician encompasses the operation of propulsion and electrical systems within naval vessels based in Halifax or Esquimalt. You will conduct routine and corrective maintenance while being involved in emergency responses and systems diagnostics. The position also provides avenues for specialized skill development in marine systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and oversee engine performance and propulsion systems
• Operate and maintain power distribution systems
• Ensure the performance of auxiliary and environmental systems




• Administer damage-control systems and operational safety measures
• Fabricate, machine, and read engineering drawings
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 10 including Applied Math
• Diploma from NCMSTEP training at a Canadian college
• Successful completion of the Basic Military Qualification course
• 3 months of Naval Fleet School training required
